Empress U is basically a blend of super disintegrant and pH stabilizers. It works as disintegrant and dissolution improver in molecules where dissolution is in phosphate buffer. In PPI molecules where pH fluctuation is a major issue and tablet color changes with assay degradation, Empress U is a better option to hold pH throughout shelf life.
